Her role was small initially and her role as Ginny took on more importance throughout the eight-film epic. Ginny was also featured in Stranded 2002 as well as Agatha Christie Life in Pictures 2004. Her abilities have also been recognized in different areas of entertainment. Not only is she the most popular person on camera but she also has worked behind the camera. In 2012, Gillian Jacobs directed and co-produced her movie Separate We Go. This tells the story of a 10 year old girl abandoned by her mother. Gillian Jacobs........................Jacobs was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Martina Magenau Jacobs, her mother was director of alumni relations in Heinz College for Carnegie Mellon University. Jacobs' father William F. Jacobs Jr. was an investment banker.She was born and raised in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Mt. Lebanon. She has French German Irish Scottish and Scottish heritage. Her family in 1847 founded the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery located in Erie Pennsylvania. John Martin Magenau Jr. acted as its President and COO until the brewery closed in 1978. Jacobs began studying acting at the age of 8 and was enrolled in acting classes on Saturdays at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She was a part of Pittsburgh Public Theater. Pittsburgh Public Theater where she was a perennial contender in the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to being cast as Titania in their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Following her graduation from Mt. Jacobs was a student at Lebanon High School from 2000 to the year 2004. Jacobs graduated with a bachelor's degree at the end of 2004.
